Election Day: Milford 2014

Election Day in Milford is finally here. Polls open at 6am and close at 8pm. To find your polling location please visit this website. Enter in your address and it will display your proper polling location.

Here is the list of polling locations for this year’s Election:

  • Margaret Egan Center: 35 Mathew Street
  • Orange Avenue School: 260 Orange Avenue
  • Foran High School – 80 Foran Road
  • JFK School: 404 West Avenue
  • West Shore Recreation Area: 14 Benham Avenue
  • Meadowside School: 80 Seemans Lane
  • Harborside Middle School: 175 High Street

Milford Demcorats are located on ROW B! Make sure to support our candidates Gayle Slossberg, Kim Rose/James Maroney/Paul Davis, Judge Beverly and Kerri Rowland! All of Connecticut’s State Constitutional Officers and Governor’s office are located on ROW B as well.

Letter to the Editor: Kim Rose Deserves Another Term

KimRose2I’ll be sharing a letter to the editor penned by Suzanne Cahill of Milford Living Magazine that was published earlier this morning in theMilford Patch. I’ve already shared a nicely done letter to the editor by Scott Schulte in my September 18th post, which supported State Representative James Maroney’s re-election campaign in the 119th, but today we will be focusing on Kim Rose and her campaign in the 118th.

In the letter to the editor Ms. Cahill expressed her support for Kim Rose and urged her fellow neighbors in the 118th to cast their vote for Kim this coming Election Day. Cahill focused on Rose’s stance and efforts on the economic front, citing her support for legislation that strengthens the partnership between community colleges and technical schools. This leads to “greater manufacturing collaboration, new jobs and an educated workforce”, said Cahill.

She continued to praise Rose’s advocacy for small businesses on the local level and is “grateful of her representation and assistance in Hartford”. Rose, Cahill concluded, is “just the type of leader to meet today’s challenges”.
