Qualifications: As a small business owner, I managed time, money and people. As a customer service representative for the past five years, I know the importance of a good customer experience from both the consumer and company side. I have been privileged to serve Milford as a mentor to middle school children, a soccer and softball coach, was involved in Special Olympics and served as president of the Milford and Connecticut Jaycees. I currently serve on the Milford Housing Partnership Commission and the Board of Directors of Bridges. Serving as City Clerk would be a natural extension of my experience.
What do you hope to accomplish: As City Clerk, I will constantly seek to improve customer service. The efficiencies and value-added services Mayor Ben Blake has brought to City Hall should permeate every department, including the Office of City Clerk. We must remember that our residents are our top priority. My goal is to enhance the customer experience, both in the office and on-line. There should be opportunities to complete some transactions by computer, and everyone must feel welcome coming into the office at any time. Milford’s citizens must feel confident they are our #1 priority and their hard-earned money is being well spent.
