Mayor Ben Blake is pleased to announce that Milford City Hall will celebrate its 100 year anniversary with fun-filled, community events scheduled for February 19, 2016 (date on which a fire destroyed the former Town Hall 101 years prior).
- On Friday, February 19, 2016, residents are invited to Milford City Hall from 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm for a remarkable evening that remembers the cold, winter day over a century before when “the local fire department fought desperately, but a high wind defeated all attempts to check the blaze.”
- Following the outside fire and ice exhibitions, residents are invited into the “one-story red brick structure with a trim clock tower, in modern colonial style,” for a history lesson and a comedy hypnosis show by certified Master Hypnotist, Dan LaRosa.
- Admission to the show (by Dan LaRosa) is free, but seating is limited. Please be sure to reserve seats through the Recreation Department’s website www.milfordrecreation.com. Kindly print and bring ticket receipts to the evening’s show.
For assistance or if you have any questions please contact Julie Nash, Director of Economic and Community Development, through email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 203-783-3230.
Mayor Blake encourages a visit to City Hall to discuss local matters or tour the architecturally significant building opened Monday-Friday from 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.
