In an extended interview, Mayor Ben Blake discusses issues regarding Hurricane Sandy and it’s aftermath to road paving to cost saving measures and why his experience is an important reason to re-elect him as Milford’s mayor.
“The difference is experience, and I think that experience matters,” Blake said. “This is a job that I’ve done for the last 10 years — Board of Aldermen for eight years including serving as its chairman, and then, of course, being mayor for the last two years.”
He said that he has followed the same “tried and true” path that his predecessors have taken, serving for years on the Board of Aldermen before becoming mayor, particularly Frederick L. Lisman, mayor from 1989 to 2001, and James L. Richetelli Jr., mayor from 2001 to 2011.
