The Registrars of Voters will hold special voter registration session today for the November 5, 2013 Election.

Tuesday, October 29, 2013 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Parsons Office Complex (70 West River Street)

Although the deadline for registration to vote in the November 5, 2013 election is October 29, 2013, persons who attain their eligibility to register after that date may do so. Therefore, if a person becomes 18 years of age, a citizen or a resident of the town after October 29, 2013, such person may register on or before 12:00 noon on November 4, 2013, at the office of the town clerk or registrars of voters or on election day at the office of the Registrar of Voters at the Parsons Office Complex. Please bring a completed application and ID with you.

Election Day Registration

While anyone wishing to vote in the regular polling place Nov. 5 has to meet the Oct. 29 deadline to register, under state law eligible state residents also may register on election day at their respective town or city hall.

Those who register on election day then will be afforded a room to vote in at that municipal building, Secretary of the State Denise Merrill spokesman Av Harris said.

The Nov. 5 municipal elections “represent a real chance for the voters to make their voices heard on the crucial budget and educational issues facing many towns in Connecticut,” said Merrill, also in the release.

Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Nov. 5 for municipal elections in Milford.
