118th For Lambert

Second District Alderman, Barbara Lambert, understands the needs and the concerns of Milford's citizens. She can especially relate to the Senior population , as she and her husband Paul are both retired and on a limited fixed income.

Barbara was born and raised in Milford, graduated from Kay Avenue and Jonathan Law. She received her Associate's degree from Housatonic Community College. Her children, James and Paula, were also raised in Milford, as are her grandchildren, Mark and Abby. Her eldest grandchild Melissa also lived in Milford.

Barbara worked for the Bic Pen Corporation and served as Vice-President of her local for the URW union, until her husband Paul took a job transfer to Brooklyn, CT. While living in Brooklyn, Barbara served on the Planning and Zoning Commission, Board of Selectman, Parish Council, Educational Assistant and Religious Education teacher.

When she returned to Milford she was shocked and disappointed to see how polarized the political arena had become. Barbara was grateful for the opportunity to be part of the ongoing changes on the Board of Alderman and to have added some balance to the board.

She is presently serving as an Alderman for the second district, a member of the Democratic Town Committee, a liaison to the Milford Redevelopment and Housing Partnership, a member of the Local Redevelopment Authority, a volunteer for the Milford Senior Center and Beth-el, and a parishioner of Saint Ann Church.

Barbara believes that each and every citizen must be treated as an important part of the Community.
