A New Year's Resolution

When we're all deciding our New Year's Resolutions, we should also consider what we can do (individually and as a community) to reverse the devastating effects of global warming. Not being one to go to the movies often, I just saw An Inconvenient Truth on dvd. It is a powerful documentary about the causes and consequences of global warming. Not only does it demonstrate and lay out the facts of what CO2 emission's are doing to the environment, it does so in an understandable and relatable manner. Politicians, community leaders, educators, students, parents, clergy, business people, consumers...everyone should see this movie. Once we all see it, each of us can do our part to change the biggest challenge our planet is facing right now. Please don't dismiss An Inconvenient Truth as a political movie, it is a movie about humanity and the Earth. It effects us all.

So, on New Year's Eve perhaps one of your resolutions could be to watch An Inconvenient Truth and then take some of the steps suggested in the movie. I did.
