Spaghetti-Os Recall! What is Wrong with this World?

I just ran into Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro at State Rep Gary Holder-Winfield's house in New Haven and asked her about the Fruit Loops and other cereals recall. She is more than concerned that it is so difficult to get the word out to citizens when there are these food dangers. And...

She just alerted me to Spaghetti-Os being recalled.

WASHINGTON, June 17, 2010 - Campbell Soup Supply Company, LLC, a Paris, Texas, establishment is recalling approximately 15,000,000 pounds of "SpaghettiOs with Meatballs" canned products due to possible under-processing, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.

The following products are subject to recall:

* 14.75-ounce cans of "SpaghettiOs" with Meatballs, bearing the identifying product code "U5" on the bottom of the can.
* 14.75-ounce cans of "SpaghettiOs" A to Z with Meatballs, bearing the identifying product code "4N" on the bottom of the can.
* 14.75-ounce cans of "SpaghettiOs" Fun Shapes with Meatballs (Cars), bearing the identifying product code "KS" on the bottom of the can.

The products subject to recall bear the establishment number "EST 4K," as well as a "Use By" date between June 2010 and December 2011 ink-jetted on the bottom of each can. These products were manufactured between December 2008 and June 2010 and distributed to retail establishments nationwide.

I realize I don't watch as much local news as I should...and I only read the online versions of the papers...but shouldn't there be huge notifications going out about this???

I am very concerned as well that this is just the sort of "food" being donated to the pantries and food banks.

Return for Refund! Demand that it not be Donated!
Thank Rosa DeLauro for watch dogging this for us, and donate to Re-elect Rosa DeLauro: Click Here

This is exactly why we must oppose the Food Safety and Modernization Act. These criminal corporations should be held accountable, not given a pass by a "catch phrase bill" that sounds like it protects consumers.

The answer to these problems is to remove all regulation from local farms regulate corporate farms and let local people in town just grow and sell what they what they wish. I think it is long overdue that Monsanto food and the big agra criminals be punished for poisoning our citizens with these types of waxy chemicals that local farmers would never use. Big agra knows nothing about heirloom seeds or what people want.

Either we feed ourselves locally or continue down the path of unsafe foods that induce allergies in children and adults, genetically vandalize our seeds and cause cancer. I think we are overdue for a revolution in the food market as globalists usher in codex alimentarius.
