Annual MLK tribute is Monday Sunday in Milford

The 24th annual tribute to the late Martin Luther King Jr. will be held at 4 p.m. Monday in City Hall.

The program is sponsored by the Milford Chapter of The Links.

State Treasurer Denise Nappier will be the primary speaker. The Foran High School Choir and Bethel AME Youth Choir of Bridgeport will perform.

Other participants will include U.S. Rep. Rosa L. DeLauro, D-3, state Attorney General Richard Blumenthal, state Sen. Gayle Slossberg, D-Milford, and state Rep. Richard Roy, D-Milford. Mayor James Richetelli will present a city proclamation.

A reception follows in Fellowship Hall of First Baptist Church, 28 North St.
