Nestled on the eastern shores of the Housatonic River and bordering Long Island Sound, the 3rd District is the gateway to Milford and New Haven County from Stratford in Fairfield County.

Traveling over historic Washington Bridge on Rt. 1, residents and visitors are first welcomed to the "Village of Devon" with our beautiful new clock tower and overlook park.

The Devon Revitalization Committee has worked tirelessly to make improvements to downtown Devon and has plans for many future improvements.

We are home to many artisans and craftsmen, local attractions and events including: the Firehouse Art Gallery, the Connecticut Audubon Society Coastal Center, the newly restored historic Liberty Rock, and events such as the Farmer's Market at the Devon Rotary Pavilion at Walnut Beach, the Devon Summer Concert Series, Walnut Beach Day and Devon Day.

Enjoy a day at our beaches, fish from our beautiful new Burt Munroe Memorial Pier, launch your boat or jet ski at the state boat launch adjacent to I-95 on Naugatuck Avenue, or dine at one of our fine restaurants. Whatever you decide, we welcome you!

We are proud that our own Democratic Town Chairman Richard Smith and Alderman Marty Hardiman call the Third District home.

Our District meets the third Monday of each month at the Margaret Egan Center at 7:30 p.m. We encourage you to join us.

Our district has two voting locations: the Margaret Egan Center on Matthews Street and the West Shore Recreation Center behind Simon Lake School. Our schools include: Simon Lake, West Shore Middle School and Jonathan Law.
