One thing that has angered me is that the City gave Westfield Mall a tax break of 1.2 million over 3 years. I did not get a tax break (that's a fact--in fact, my taxes went up on my business) and the City could use the $. The Mayor explained the tax break by saying that it was not unusual to offer such tax breaks--but again, when it comes to cutting the school budget, we are told that these are unusual times calling for such measure. Seems to me, given where the City is, giving tax breaks to an Australian company is not OK. But you and I know, the Mall means more than Milford kids.
