Republicans will lose the seat if Attorney General Richard Blumenthal decides to run. Everyone likes him; he’s considered a nice guy. If somebody sneezes, he is there to give remarks. (I’m only slightly exaggerating.) I must have been at four Milford events where he spoke in past few years, and he’s been to others in town, and he does this all over the state, and has been [doing this] for 20 years.
