James Maroney, a lifelong Milford resident, is seeking his first term on the Milford Board of Education. The Jonathan Law & Yale University graduate is an educational consultant and owner of First Choice College Placement in Milford.

• Past Member, Board of Directors of the Milford Literacy Center
• 1992 Graduate of Jonathan Law
• Stepmother and Grandmother are former Milford Teachers
  

James and his wife, Jennifer Ju MD, have a son, Jay, who is in kindergarten at Matthewson Elementary.

"I would like to support the school system in their quest to increase rigor and engagement in the classroom. Further, I hope to help improve the educational culture in the city and promote intellectual curiosity beyond the classroom."
